red string
the thin red string is no ordinary string. it represents TAF Youth, which was one of the best weeks of my life, where i met fantastic people, and made (hopefully) lifelong friends. i am always carrying the wonderful memories and the amazing people with me everywhere.
the twisted red string with a silver bead was gifted to me today. the woman who gave it to me said she saw the red string on my wrist and thought that i’d like this one. when i explained to her the meaning behind the thin red string, she smiled. she told me that was wonderful, and hoped that i would think of her and her family, chiayi where my roots are, and taiwan in general when i see her red string. i told her that from now on i would carry everybody in taiwan with me wherever i go, too. :)
Resolved: If I go to Taiwan this summer. I’m taking another tour. Definitely going to Kaohsiung and Hualien. Haven’t been since I was younger, and I don’t really remember it.

2007. Shilin Night Market. Located in Taiwan, this night market has all the food, drinks, and games you want! An AWESOME place to visit with friends… too bad they’re planning on making it indoors wtf D:
